Role Description:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT solutions both on-premises and in the cloud. You will provide all levels of technical support to our customers both remotely and onsite. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical competency and maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide all levels (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3) of support.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and support customers via phone, chat, email, and in person.
- Utilize scripting and management consoles to design, build, and support a wide range of customer systems including but not limited to:
- --Endpoint devices (Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android)
- --Server hardware and associated infrastructure
- --Microsoft Active Directory / Group Policy
- --Microsoft Azure,
- --Microsoft Office 365
- --Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/Citrix) systems
- --Storage/NAS systems
- --Backup and Disaster Recovery systems
- --Endpoint protection systems
- --Network hardware (Firewalls, Switches, Wireless, etc.)
- --Phone (VoIP/PBX) systems
- --Printing/faxing systems
- Manage hardware and software deployment projects.
- Create step by step user guides, network diagrams, and/or instructions as needed.
- Execute all job priorities with a customer service mindset and approach.
- Participate in after hours on-call support rotation.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant field of study; will consider work experience and relevant certifications in lieu of degree requirement.
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft, Azure, Office 365, Cisco, VMware
- 3+ years’ experience in systems administration or similar role.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Previous experience working at an IT consulting firm, managed services provider, or an organization with a decentralized workforce.
- Must show a commitment to professional development and continual improvement.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities with a strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and travel using personal vehicle
